– Eco-Gardening & Grounds Crew

Hertzog Associates Fine Gardening is seeking ecologically-minded, energetic, experienced gardening and grounds maintenance crew members for the 2025 season and beyond. We are seeking candidates that possess some or all of the following qualifications:

• 2-4 years of experience with installation and maintenance of cut flower and organic food gardens; native plantings; ornamental annuals and perennials; fanciful outdoor containers; woodlands, meadows, shrubs, and small trees.
• Experience with installation and construction of outdoor landscapes and hardscapes such as clearing, grading, soil enhancements for new garden beds; composting; edging and mulching; garden walkways; irrigation; lighting; fencing and small patios.
• Skilled at operating and maintaining gardening and landscaping hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment, small machines and work vehicles. Experience with basic repairs preferred.
• Basic proficiency in plant identification, and basic understanding of the concepts of regenerative or ecological landscapes and gardening.

Additional requirements for all candidates:

• Must be reliable, hard-working, detail-oriented and team-spirited
• Demonstrate excellent onsite client and co-worker communication skills, including high levels of professionalism at all times
• Enjoy working outdoors in all types of weather. Physically fit and able to lift 50 lbs
• Be flexible with availability for workday hours subject to weather or project demand. Seasonal overtime expected
• Possess a valid driver’s license, and be willing to obtain a medical card to drive company vehicles
